So Many Choices!

Day two of our Halloween weekend with the "little ones" was another beautiful day and by late morning, we were off to the Pickin' Patch in Dunnellon. This is a wonderful, family-friendly pumpkin patch. It is the "real deal" - a huge farm full of lots and lots of pumpkins and gourds still on the vines. And, they have lots of other activities to keep everyone entertained. Each year, Jen also brings along a basket lunch so we get to find a nice shady spot and enjoy all the smiles and laughs that are going on all around us! This is a happy place!

"Armed" with just a wagon and a pair of clippers, we head off into the acres of pumpkins. Each of us is looking for just the right "fit". Once we zone in on the one we want, we have two boys just dying to help out with those clippers! I love that we are cutting these straight off of the vine because then we can get that nice, long, sturdy, twisty stem...sometimes it is just the "little things" that make your heart happy.

We had this wagon loaded with so many pounds pf pumpkins that Harrison had to pull and Hudson had to help out by pushing!

The hayride is always fun, but bright!

Good thing we had these three to lead us through the maze or I might still be in there!

What a wonderful start to our Halloween festivities! More to come. Stay tuned.
