I hit the ground running this morning thinking that if I got home early I would have the whole rest of the day to finish up my tweaks and packing up the guest rooms. But, as often happens these days, I was wrong. Lol The soccer game that granddaughter #5 has tonight, that I thought was in Mt. Dora and I was going to pass on, ends up being here and so, of course I am going tonight for fear of missing out again. Lol And, when I asked my daughter if I could tag along with them, she invited me to join her and my son-in-law for dinner out first. And so, there went the rest of my day. I did manage to find a few of the things I was looking for. Here's my haul.
I also bought the scalloped heart shaped cutting board and put it here...
If one heart shaped cutting board is good, two must be better! LOL
And then I actually found the brass entwined hearts that I went after...which surprised me. I wanted them for here...
And I wanted them there because of this candle-which is hard to see because of the light flooding in from the skylight overhead but it too is "brass".
And then I not only wanted more of the "real feel" tulips but some rose buds to give a bit of a variety. I found these at HL and they are really realistic looking-right down to the thorns on the stems which I thought was great until I started taking off the price tags. They are sold as a single flower and I bought a dozen. If you are anything like me, the taped on price tags on florals that they wrap around the stems are just a royal pain to get off because they don't even leave enough room to get a blade into it. I actually ended up getting a few punctures from those "fake" thorns. But, I do like the way they look. They are here for now because I have to head in to get ready to head out so they might not be here the next time you see them but I do love them...and they will last longer than fresh roses-which I will get at some point a bit closer to the holiday.
Stay safe and stay tuned. And next time I come back we will start the tour...I promise.
