I really hadn't intended to be here today but I forgot that the cookie dough has to chill in the fridge for at least 45 minutes so, while it is doing that, I sat down at my computer and found myself looking for sunflower ideas for the living room shelf. My first thought was for the two side areas and, of course, my mind went to the peat pots. I didn't want to do anything with faux sunflowers because, honestly, I already have more than my share of those around the house in this decor theme. I thought about maybe printing a vintage sunflower postcard image for each pot but I couldn't find two that I liked and were opposite facing. I know I can reverse the image to print but I also didn't want two of the exact same.
When that didn't pan out I thought about maybe finding just some single sunflower images that I could print several of for each pot and then kind of cut the petals out and re-lay them in a way that I got a 3D flower. I was liking that idea when I ran upon the watercolor images. I decided to scrap the peat pots and just fill one of my frames for the center area of the shelf. At first I thought I might try my hand at painting my own-and I still might but I just have too much to do today to get ready for Easter so that has been tabled for now. But, I found a watercolor image that would fit the frame perfectly so I just printed it up for now. This decor doesn't come out until the 4th of July comes down so it's not like I am married to my decision today. Lol I'm also not sure that just this frame will have enough of a presence to be in the center area alone but we shall see.
In any case, three of the four new frames are now filled.
