Once the antique wax was dry on the cupboard, I went back over it all with the off-white chalk paint. I tried just dry brushing but that is never an exact science. When I got on more than I wanted I used either a dry paper towel or a baby wipe to kind of blend the paint. I had JUST enough baby wipes to get it done but, as I look at it now that it is all dry, there might be some spots where I will add more of the off-white and others that might need more of the wax. Since I'm out of the wipes, I will just have to live with it for a bit and by then I might make up my mind. I definitely like it more than the stark white that it was when it arrived.

Right now I'm definitely leaning towards another layer of the off-white but we shall see?! The shabby, softness of this finish definitely goes better with the feel of the room than just the white so, maybe not?! Lol Decisions, decisions, decisions.
A word of explanation-this room kind of serves as the overflow area for lots of my decor pieces-usually in green...and so, at different times of the years, there are various pieces of decor that kind of look out of place but not quite bad enough for me to find a better storage spot. I like that I can "shop" this room whenever I need a bit of a green element somewhere. That helps explain the tall vase full of twigs in the corner in this picture. That is not a new decor idea-that is just a desperation move to have somewhere to put the vase when it is not being used. Lol
I'm off to do some more weeding and edging before our temperatures go up this afternoon. Then it is "feet up Fri-yay"! Stay safe and stay tuned.
