...and thank goodness for real touch tulips!
I started my Easter swap on Tuesday and just as I was getting going, I saw the FedEx truck and he was here! Isn't he adorable?
I will say some choice words may have been uttered as I was trying to get into this guy. Decor Steals packs their stuff well. So well that sometimes they are really hard to open. This guy was embedded between two large pieces of Styrofoam that was so tight in the box there was no way to just "dump" it out. The only way to get in was to cut the box but, even with a box cutter, that cardboard was THICK and HEAVY. Of course I appreciate all of that once I am finally in the box and nothing is damaged but...
It has taken me three days of swapping and putting away but I am finished. This swap out isn't too bad because most of the candles can stay out as well as the mantle greenery and a few various other things. And, I found a use for that once empty cabinet that is in the sunroom.
It is now FULL of some of my St. Pat's stuff that, to be honest, I'm not sure where it was stored before. I did buy a lot more shamrock greenery and I made a few new things too so maybe that is it. In any case, it is all safely put away until next year-as long as I can remember where I put it. Lol
I told you how much I am not a fan of my Easter decor. I always try to change it a bit in hopes that I will like it better but I'm usually not that successful-until maybe this year. I decided to use all of the pink real touch tulips I bought for Valentine's Day because they are just beautiful and I think they changed up my arrangements just enough to make them feel new. Things feel a bit more cohesive using green, purple and pink throughout most of the house. Here's a sneak peek:
And, I left out a few of the carrot things in the family room and added in the gold so I am a bit happier with that as well. I decided that my dapper bunny had to be on the coffee table because he would get lost in the shelves since they are both brown. He needed to be raised a bit but then I needed a lot of greenery to hide the riser and, to be honest, I just didn't have it in me to fool around with it any longer than I did so this is where we are right now. I'm not crazy about it but I'm not totally unhappy with it either so we shall see. And yes, he got some carrots in his basket. I may fool around with it a bit more before pictures...then again, maybe not.
And, this is happening as I write.
The fence company is here and they are beginning to get the fence back up. Of course, we are having wind gusts pretty strong out there and we will be until around 6 tonight so I hope they hurry. Lol
That's it for today. I am tired and ready to call it a day for now. Hopefully I'll be back soon and we can start our official tour of Easter 2025. Stay safe and stay tuned.
