Switching It Up!

So far we have seen the living room and the kitchen. On a normal tour, we would head next into the dining room. But, there is nothing quite normal about this year's tour. I am running so far behind and thinking that I will soon run out of time before I run out of tour but...we shall see.

Yesterday was my day to do more inside cleaning. Part of that included switching up all of my bedding from my spring/summer stuff to the autumn/winter stuff. As you see, I missed autumn all together but with my Christmas decor, I had to get this switch accomplished. And, since I did and the room was photo ready, I decided to go ahead and get the pictures and move on from there. So, we are now heading into the primary bedroom and bath for this year's Christmas tour.

I still love the "stained glass" picture that granddaughter #3 made for me in G.S. And, I threw in a few more Christmas photos as well this year.

And, of course, more of the overflow photos fill the dresser...

...and a night stand.

I love the PB knock-off sign that I made and I'm always still amazed at the pillow I found at Target that same year that kind of echoes Santa at the end of the poem as he heads off shouting "and to all a good night!".

Both the garlands and the tree are lit with timered lights so I can fall asleep to the glow but they will turn themselves off soon after.

The primary bath is again simple but reminds me of the holiday.

I'm always tickled when I put something together and it looks like I meant to do it. These canvas Santas that I made many, many years ago look just like the guy on the towel-couldn't have planned it better if I tried. LOL

Today saw me tackling the outdoor chores and I am so happy that I got the front gardens weeded and those 20 bags of pine bark nuggets that grandson #2 delivered to me spread. It was more of a job than I had anticipated but worth every minute because between the pressure cleaned drives and the new mulch, the front looks ready for company...and I won't have to do that again for quite a bit. LOL

And, most of the biggies are now done and just in time as a friend is dropping by for a visit tomorrow. Tuesday should be shopping day and Wednesday will be finishing up and cooking day so I probably won't be back for awhile but when I am, we are going to get this done. Stay safe and stay tuned.
