I hadn't planned on being back quite so soon, but the A/C guy is here giving my unit its yearly check-up and he is in pretty much every other part of my house except here-so far-so I thought I would stay out of his way and since I seem to be caught up on everything else in my office, it just made sense to come here and visit with you.
I think we have toured the kitchen so let's head into the dining room today. There's not a lot of change but there's a bit because of the "new to me" piece of furniture given to me by daughter #1. I always loved this piece in her house and she knew it so when she purchased something else, she found a way to get this to me-via my poor brother and sister-in-law who had been visiting her and got talked into putting the VERY heavy thing into their car and dropping it off for me. She also has the most beautiful old chard of woodwork that she uses as a shelf and two of the prettiest sconces I have ever seen that she is changing soon and they will be coming my way as well. I think the shelf will be going in this room so there should be more changes coming on the horizon. I can't wait...give it to Nana-she'll take anything. Lol

I was hoping to find more olive branches at HL so I could replace these sunflowers but, no luck. They have been out of them for quite some time and it doesn't look like they're going to replace them. Wish I had bought all that they had when I bought my first batch. With all of the other Mediterranean stuff in this room I just thought olive branches should prevail over sunflowers...oh well.
I use one of my April Cornell placemats in this vignette because the colors are so perfect. I'm kind of hoping that I can host a dinner of some sort soon so I can set the whole table with these beautiful linens. They reverse to a more gold-ish yellow side so there are lots of ways to set a pretty table using them.
It is hard to see but I just put the "sunflower" covered book that I made down in the basket. That really doesn't show the book at its best but I needed something else in the basket. I have been on the lookout so that may be changing as soon as I come up with another idea.
That is the dining room for this year. It's definitely sunny and happy-even with all of the gloomy days we have been having. Guess I'm off to check on the A/C guy. I'm still looking for some new craft ideas for autumn and Halloween-although the last thing I need for Halloween is another anything. Lol I just miss the crafting. I did just remember that summer is usually when I find the ornament that I want to make this year so maybe that's where I'll head next. I have made about every kind of ornament there is so this is uasually a bit of a search. But, with no other crafts on the horizon, I have nothing but time. Lol Stay safe and stay tuned.
