Patience is a Virtue!

Patience is a virtue...or so we were taught back in G.S. in "The Brownie Story". Maybe in my case it's a little bit of patience and a whole lot of persistence. I think I told you over a year ago that I was on the search for the metal vintage holiday leaners that I had seen on different blogs that I follow. Of course, they were only available at $Tree+ stores and we didn't have any of them yet. Once we finally got a "plus" store, I was there for every holiday just hoping to find one and then, this past Christmas, I found the last Santa my store had and I was so excited! I knew there should be some coming for Easter and almost fell over when I happened upon the last one again and this time it was Mother Goose. I knew in my heart of hearts that there should be a rabbit also and, for some reason, this morning before heading to the grocery store I was compelled to drive out to another store farther away but I just had a feeling. This store is so unorganized and dirty but for whatever reason, I had that feeling. And sure enough, there was Peter Rabbit-just waiting to come home with me. I have absolutely no idea where or how I will use these guys but I just love them...it's the little things. Lol Aren't they just so cute?!

I was hoping to find some other ideas for some St. Pat's or Easter crafts while I was there but I wasn't as lucky with that. I did grab some shiny clover plates and a set of glasses that we don't have yet for our St. Pat dress-ups. I also grabbed two wood stars. Believe it or not, I saw a cute idea for 4th of July that I haven't done yet so now maybe I have something to do in these frigid days that we seem to have coming.

While I'm here, why don't we hop into the dining room.

So my vintage scene ended up staying here on the shelf. I went back to trim the girl a bit and didn't like the way that looked so I added a bit of embellishment to her heart. She's really cute and I like her.

These "real feel" tulips are just so pretty. They're on sale again this week. If they weren't predicting icy rain tomorrow, I think I would head to HL and get some more. Since I bought pink instead of red, they will probably pop back up for Easter and spring. They're more expensive than the other faux tulips I have but they are so much more realistic looking that they're definitely worth the extra cost. And, as I always say, I don't ever pay full price for anything at HL unless it is something I just have to have at that exact moment and can't wait a week!

So that is the dining room for this year. Since it is so gloomy and cold out right now, I am off to actually have another cup of coffee, light a fire and settle in for the evening. I just remembered that I have a hair appointment tomorrow-I thought it was today-so I hope by the afternoon whatever we get weather wise in the morning will be well on its way. And maybe I will get that run to HL. Stay safe, stay warm and stay tuned.
