Where we go from here is anybody's guess. For whatever reason, no real inspiration was coming for this craft and I just needed to be done with it so, I gathered what I already had and sat down and just started.
I decided that since so many of the vintage characters have those ruffled crepe paper collars I would go ahead and add one to the wood round I decided to use. I could have "sewn" the paper to make a more even ruffle but again, my heart just wasn't in this today. I just squirted on some hot glue and used my fingers and the little glue tool to "squish" the paper into ruffles.
Once that was dry, I had to decide on the trim. At his point I had already ruled out a black tinsel and a thinner vintage silver tinsel. I draped these two on and again, for whatever reason, I decided to go with the orange/black/ clear "tinsel" that I bought a number of years ago at my favorite shop in Micanopy. In the past I have used it in my decor as a base for other things but it has been in my Halloween stash for awhile now so I decided it was time to let it have its day. Lol
Once I had that all hot glued on I added some $Tree "jenga" blocks to raise the image...
...and here we are. The only problem is that I have no idea where to go next. I didn't add a hanger because I don't know if it will. It really shouldn't lean because it will bend the ruffle on the bottom but...???
And so I wait...and so do you. You'll be the first to know if this craft fail challenge ever finds a home. Lol Stay safe and stay tuned.
