Surprise!

 I am as surprised as you are to see me back here today...so soon! The plan had been to get out and run my errands but, as I think I have probably mentioned before, I have to be in the mood to do certain things and I woke up NOT in the mood to run errands. Lol

I woke up to a tornado in my house. I showed you the start of my living room swap yesterday and, I have learned that if I can only get two rooms done the first day of a decor swap, it needs to be the living room and then the family room because I end almost all of my days in the FR and I have a hard time relaxing if I have to look at a mess. And with that in mind, here is what I looked at last night.

So pretty and peaceful! You would think that all was right with the world. And, for the important things in my life, it is! But, in the decor scheme of things, the rest of the house was in turmoil. And, not the kind of turmoil that will be finished even by the end of today but, the kind that would be a lot better if I just gave into it and kept working instead of heading out...and so that is what I am doing.

I am so proud of myself that I pretty much have everything "sunflower" corralled in two places. But, even with that, this is a rough swap. I have been at it another three hours and am ready for a break, so here I am.

I have figured out that on the really large swaps, I am kind of better just clearing everything out...and so, here's where I am in the next few rooms.

And then I learned that every time I carry something out to not come back in empty handed so here is where I am on that issue.

Of course, I always seem to forget something and looking at these pictures showed me that this time I forgot a red candle and a hanging star. Lol

Once I get to this point, cleaning and decorating is so much easier. This is also why I keep these posts so I can see what I did last year so that I have a jumping off point. I would love to totally redecorate every year but at that rate, I would never get done so much of what was done before gets done again. Of course, I usually have some things to move around because I have new things to add.

And, as I am taking this break here with you, I am remembering that I truly haven't touched the sunroom or either bathroom. And then, I have all of this to put away...some into Rubbermaids in the garage and others back into these shelves. Unfortunately, that pile keeps growing and I'm not sure I will be able to get it all back in there. I guess I must have added a bit more 4th decor than I realized. Lol Oh well, I will find a spot somewhere...and then I will probably have to write myself a note to remind me where I put it for next year. Lol Lol!!

OK. I've caught my breath again and I'm off to see how far I can get before I need another break. Stay safe and stay tuned.
