We have come to our last day in the city, so we are just trying to squeeze in anything we may have missed but not get too far from our hotel as we have to meet the limo back to the airport at 5 p.m.
Of course, we headed off to Macys to see their windows and then we just sort of meandered from there.
The theme of :The Secret Garden" at Macys was breathtaking! Everywhere you turned, you saw the most decadent flower displays...and the scent was intoxicating! I was in my glory!
Of course, we had to see the Empire State Building! We didn't go to the top this visit as it was cold and really expensive. We figured if we were going to spend that much, we would rather do it on a balmy day when we could stay up there a bit before getting frost bite - ha-ha.
Before we knew it, we were on our way back to the airport and a night time flight home to Tampa. It was over way too soon but we made so many wonderful memories!! We will be talking about this trip forever...and that was the point. With everyone growing up much too fast, these times together are getting harder and harder to pull off. I am only hoping that when my grand children have their own children, they will love telling them stories about their crazy, red-headed Nana and all of the fun things we used to do. Stay tuned!
