Reality!

 For whatever reason, reality set in this morning. I realized that in just a few days, I will have a house full of people. And yes, they are family but, since they are family that don't live here any more, I like their homecomings to feel welcoming. And, with the "fun" things I have been up to lately, there was not much time left for the mundane-like house cleaning so........Lol

Today is the day to get started and, as usual, the minute I start, the more I see that needs getting done and the longer the list grows. At this moment, I am done with two of the guest rooms and the guest bath. That leaves a lot more to go but, somehow, here I am. I came into my office to grab something (?), saw the pile of Christmas stuff sitting here, grabbed the frame and before I knew what my fingers were doing, I was looking up vintage Christmas tree images, resizing, printing and getting the frame all put together! My initial thought had been a vintage Santa-and I can still do that if I change my mind-but I have so many Santas that I went this way instead. I will make the final determination when I see where it is going to find a home.

 Not sure just how my brain works, but, since I was in this chair I thought maybe I should also wrap up our tour. I think we only have the bathrooms left so it will be quick.

And, the obligatory nod in the main bath.

So that is the house dressed for Thanksgiving. I'm not quite sure how long after "the day" everyone will still be here but, as soon as the house is empty, the Christmas swap will begin. And while I am decorating, I will be doing a more extensive cleaning as I prepare for first the Mother/Daughter luncheon and then hosting the big day at my house with all of the family-I hope-able to gather yet again! 

I guess it is time to get back to the list and try to get some things off of it before I find myself adding even more. Stay safe and stay tuned. And, have a beautiful Thanksgiving in case I don't get back before then.
