We've Gathered No Moss!

We were the rolling stones...we gathered NO moss...we were never still! We are home from our 9 day trip and what a trip it was! We went from one celebration to the other yet still had lots of time for eating out, shopping, DIY projects, family games and lots and lots of laughs.

I am going to try and hit the highlights in a few blogs or there would be a definite picture overload.

Our fun actually started two days before we left with Hudson's end-of-the-year award ceremony. Unfortunately, we missed Presley getting the first grade art award. Since she loves art and crafting so much, she was beside herself with this award!

Then the next night was Harrison's 5th grade graduation.

After a pretty long ceremony and then a nice dinner out, it made for a rather late night for us but we were up and on our way pretty early the next morning.

The first night we were in St. Pete was Ciatlin's IB Celebration dinner held at the St. Pete Colesium. This is the most beautiful building and when it was decorated for this occasion, it was breathtaking!

St. Pete High School is 100 years old so it is steeped in tradition. When we entered, there was a
wonderful display of school memorabilia.

Dinner was served as the awards and entertainment took place. Caitlin danced in two numbers but the most exciting was seeing her receive her IB  sash. She will also wear one for National Honor Society and many academic cords-can you tell we are so proud of her achievements.

For those of you who don't know her story-Caitlin was (they think) born with liver cancer. She was diagnosed at three months of age. She underwent a year of chemotherapy and a radical surgery but she has been in remission for fifteen years. The doctors don't like to say cured but All Childrens' Hospital has never had a case of hepatoblastoma return after seven years so we like to use that word. We weren't sure she would be with us so to see the beautiful, creative young women she has become fills all of our hearts with hope and joy! She is our miracle!

After Caitlin's dinner, we had time to go to some of our favorite haunts in the St. Pete area. We went to Julies and a number of wonderful vintage and French boutiques. And, of course, we had a lovely lunch while we were out and about.

We also hit the Melting Pot one evening for the most wonderful appetizers and happy hour.

Are you tired yet? We did all of that in just three days. And then the week got busy-lol! So much more to share. Stay tuned.
