Today is the day we have been waiting for! Eight of us ( seven females and my poor hubby ) are piling in a car and heading to Asheville. We are going to meet up with my brother and sister-in-law up there. We have a jammed full schedule but have decided that it is subject to change on a whim. The only thing written in stone will be our day at the Biltmore since we pre-purchased those tickets. Other than that, if we are doing something and it is more fun than we can stand, we just might stay a bit longer.
As the plans stand now, we will also hit an apple orchard for all sorts of fun ( and apparently the world's best apple donuts-at least according to my grand daughter ), a pumpkin patch, corn maze and hay ride and a day along the Blue Ridge Highway where we have scheduled many pull-offs for viewing, hikes to waterfalls and picnics. Should be a fun four days. Rest assured, I will have much to share upon our return!
